WISH LIST ...

A Dutch windmill from XIX century in north-western Poland, a stone's throw from my father's house...

A nobleman's mansion from 1905 near Warsaw, with it's own park, stable and lake...

This XIV century castle is for rent... it's in Gostynin, a town outside of Warsaw where my brother resides. A settlement and an early medieval town existed in the neighborhood of the present town of Gostynin in the 6th and 7th centuries... Tsar Vasili IV of Russia, together with his brothers, Dmitriy and Ivan, were held in the castle prison in 1600's.

1905 CALIFORNIA BUNGALOW RENOVATION

We exchanged the little kitchen window with 4 sheets of 8x4 ft glass that can slide to either left or right opening the entire house to the back garden. We also extended the corner of the house, which previously housed a 2nd bathroom, and created an open floor plan that expanded the size of the kitchen and allowed for the day light to come through the windows.

The orange roof in the last image is actually a sail that proved to be essential in protecting us from the hot California sun. We are still debating what to do for a siding around the windows..
